COURT CONVICTIONS: (Continued)

October 5:

-A 21-year old Aylmer man was found guilty of possession/cultivation of marijuana after 4 plants were found by his landlord in a vacated room on Wellington St. in June. He was given a $1000 fine and a 10 year weapons prohibition.

October 13:

-Dustin Steel, 19, of Bayham Twp., was found guilty of assault on a 19-year old female and given 12 months probation for an incident on Talbot St. E., Aylmer, in March.

MYRTLE ST. BRIDGE CLOSED FOR 6 WEEKS

Aylmer- The Myrtle St. bridge will remain closed until the end of November, according to Aylmer Director of Operations Rod Tapp, as Eastwood 88 Manufacturing completes the following work: removal and replacement of existing bridge deck, removal and replacement of existing pedestrian walkway sidewalk, curb removal and replacement at the south end of the bridge, and some erosion control measures.
