“JOHN PALMER’s FATHER WAS A VICTIM OF FLU EPIDEMIC OF 1918-19”

John Palmer of Aylmer, who died on the weekend in his 92nd year, was just an infant when his father, Aylmer Furniture Store owner William Palmer passed away. William Palmer was a victim of the last great flu epidemic, during the winter of 1918-19. Six Aylmerites, all between ages 25 and 37, succumbed to the outbreak.
