“Aylmer Truman Garage Rockets Juveniles advanced to the OMHA hockey finals for the second straight year in March, 1960.  Coached by Bob Heslop, Aylmer was defeated by Huntsville in 1959 and then the two teams squared off again the next year. Aylmer was hoping to win its first OMHA title at any level.  Aylmer dispatched of Paris in three straight in the semi-finals by scores of 11-4, 9-2, and 12-4. In the best-of-five finals Aylmer travelled to Huntsville on a weekend for the opening games – but fell 8-0 in the opener and 7-6 in overtime in game two.  The first game saw the team shaken up somewhat as two vehicles carrying Aylmer players collided on the way up – fortunately there were no serious injuries. Back home the following weekend, Aylmer was edged 3-2 Friday and Huntsville were champs once more.”
